The Trev Animal Health module is separated into two different sections which allow you to record your farm's animal health treatments throughout the season. At the moment Animal Health treatments can only be recorded on the desktop Trev version but the team are working on a mobile friendly version!

Medicine Cabinet

The first section of the Animal Health module is the Medicine Cabinet, in this section you record animal health products you have purchased and will be using to treat animals.

Adding a new product batch

  1. Click Add new product batch in green at the top of the section

  2. In the pop-up, use the search bar to search for the name of the product you want to record.

  3. Record the batch number of the product

  4. Record the amount of product

  5. Next you have the option to enter the expiry date, date opened and broach period. There is also a check box to mark a product as disposed and the date of disposal

  6. You then need to enter the dose rate, doses per treatment and the withholding period for meat and milk. This information can be found on the product label. For some products this information will be pre-populated but for others you will need to enter the custom dose information

  7. Last are spaces for Notes and References should you wish to utilise these. You can also attach any photos or documents if needed e.g. a photo of the batch number or a pdf of the product label

  8. When you are happy with the information you have entered, click Add

  9. Once you've added all your new animal health product batches, click Save & Continue

Animal Treatment & Events

The Animal Treatment section is where you record animal treatment events for the week or you can prepare planned treatments.

Adding a new treatment

  1. Click Add new treatment in green at the top of the section and in the pop up, select create new treatment

  2. Select the date animals were/will be treated

  3. If you want to record individual animals treated, choose administered to Animals, this will then allow you to record individual tag numbers. Otherwise just select administered to All animals

  4. Enter the number of animals treated

  5. Choose the product used - this will be a list from your Medicine Cabinet from the previous section

  6. From the drop down, select the condition you are treating.

  10. If the dose has been administered, toggle on the dose status.

  11. Dose date and rate should be pre-populated from your Medicine Cabinet but it can be changed here if necessary.

  12. From the drop down list, select where the treatment was administered to.

  13. Search for the batch number of the product used. If multiple batches of the same product were used you can click the green Apply another batch to this dose at the bottom of the pop up.

  14. Repeat for each dose

  15. Once you have finished entering all dose information, click Save Event.

Adding a dose to an existing treatment

  1. Click Add new treatment in green at the top of the section and in the pop up, select add dose to existing treatment. Or click on the (+) button on the right-hand side of your existing treatment

  2. Enter the new dose information, the same as you would for a new treatment.

  3. Click Save Event

Adding a planned treatment

  1. Click Add new treatment in green at the top of the section and in the pop up, select create a planned treatment

  2. Enter the treatment information, the same as you would for a new treatment

  3. Click Add

  4. The planned treatment will then sit in your list of treatments and you can add doses to the treatment at a later date.

Once you have finished entering all animal health information for the week, click the blue Save & Continue button to move on to the next module.
