So what’s the difference between Cows Mated and Inseminations?
Cows Mated is the physical number of cows you’ve mated. You only need to record each cow in your herd the first time they are mated to help identify your submission rate. For example, if you have a 1000-cow herd and by Week 3 you’ve mated 920 cows, your submission rate is 92%.
Inseminations is the total number of inseminations you’ve done, including first inseminations and returns.
Note: The Planned Start of Calving (PSOC) and Planned Start of Mating (PSOM) dates are provided at the beginning of the season. If these aren’t correct, message us through Intercom and our team can update them once permission is granted by a Full Access user.
