What are Report Reminders?

Trev gives you the ability to turn on email alert reminders for reports that are overdue, due or available.

Report Reminders are automated alert emails that tell you when a Trev report needs to be completed. You can choose to have emails sent to you when a yet-to-be-completed report becomes:

  • Overdue (i.e. the first day after a report is ‘Due’)

  • Due (i.e. the day of the report date)

  • Available (i.e. when the report is available to be completed in advance of the due date)

The Report Reminders email will contain a link that points the user directly to that report inside Trev.

Who can set Report Reminders?

If your access level allows you to complete a report (i.e. you're a Reporter, Editor, Authorised or Full access user) you can opt to receive Report Reminders.

When new users are added to a farm with Editor or Reporter access they’ll automatically be set up to receive ‘Overdue’ reminders, all other users will be ‘Off’ by default.

How do I configure my Report Reminders?

Settings for Report Reminders can be adjusted from the Notifications tab of your Profile page in Trev.

If you're a reporter, you will have the option to set Report Reminders for reports as they become Available, Due or Overdue. Please note this functionality will only be enabled if you have Full Access, Authorised, Editor or Reporter access to a particular farm. Remember to click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

How do Report Reminders work? When are they sent?

Daily automated Report Reminders are sent out to users that have opted to receive a reminder for a farm if ta report has not yet been completed and it’s now either:

  • Overdue (i.e. the day after a report is ‘Due’)

  • Due (i.e. the same day as the report date)

  • Available (i.e. the report is available to be completed in advance of the due date)

Each user can opt to receive a reminder when a report is Available, Due or Overdue (or can opt to turn it off) for each individual farm. For example, a user with sufficient access to multiple farms may choose to set reminders for one farm as when ‘Due’ and another when ‘Overdue’.

Depending on your settings, if you have access to multiple farms you may receive multiple report reminders in a week, but Trev will only ever send you one reminder for each farm, and will only ever send you one reminder per day (we’ll roll any relevant reminders on a given day into one email). Note that, if you’ve set to receive ‘Overdue’ reminders for a farm, Trev will only send a reminder on the first day that the report has become overdue.
