To book a private lesson:
Discuss suitable lesson times with the parent or student.
Go to Messages and select the parent you want to book with.
Select Suggest a Booking.
Wait for the parent to confirm the booking.
Alternatively, the parent may suggest lesson times. You can accept these directly.
How long is a private lesson?
Each private lesson is 1 hour long.
This includes:
55 minutes of tutoring time.
5 minutes to provide feedback, write session notes, or complete a lesson report.
How do I know if my lesson has been booked?
Once a lesson has been accepted, check your Bookings to confirm it has been scheduled.
Each lesson will have a status indicating its position in the booking process.
What does “Awaiting Payment” mean?
The booking has been accepted, but the parent has not added their payment details yet.
If the status has not changed by 24 hours before the lesson starts, you may want to send the parent a reminder, as the lesson may not be confirmed in time.
What does “Payment Scheduled” mean?
The booking has been accepted, but payment has not been completed yet.
Payment will be taken 24 hours before the lesson starts.
What does “Confirmed” mean?
A lesson is Confirmed once the booking has been accepted and payment has been completed.
Only Confirmed lessons can be launched.
If you cannot launch a lesson, check that the booking status shows as Confirmed. If it is not confirmed yet, this may be because the parent has not completed payment.
