If you’re using a Mac for your lessons and having trouble with your device, give our quick fixes a go first - they solve a lot of common issues!
Our quick fixes didn’t do the trick? Try the suggestions below to get you back on track.
Check your Safari Browser Preferences - your microphone, camera, or sound can be turned off in your browser preferences:
- Click Safari
- Go to Preferences > Websites
- Select the setting Allow for your Camera and Microphone preferences.
Check your Mac Privacy Settings.
- Click the Apple menu
- Go to system preferences > security & privacy > privacy > Microphone or Camera
- Make sure your web browser is selected to be Allowed access.
Other known fixes we would suggest:
- Update your OS. The majority of Mac issues are caused by updates, so keep your Mac shipshape and install your updates with plenty of time before your lesson!
- Use a wired headset. Bluetooth headphones can cause echoing in the lesson space.
- Check a third party filter, Antivirus, or Firewall application is not blocking your device from using your microphone or camera.
We recommend spending 5 minutes trying to troubleshoot. If these tips didn’t do the trick, please get in touch via phones or live chat so that we can get you into your lesson ASAP!
