To tutor a subject on MyTutor, you must have achieved at least a B grade at A-Level (or equivalent) in that subject.
This requirement applies to tutors on both the Schools Programme and the private platform.
What qualifications do I need to tutor each level?

Can I tutor SEND students?
To add SEND Secondary or SEND Primary to your profile, you must meet the required grade criteria.
This means you must have achieved a B grade or higher at A-Level (or equivalent).
Can I tutor English as a Second Language (ESL)?
Yes. English as a Second Language (ESL) is available for students whose first language is not English and who want to improve their confidence and English skills.
To tutor ESL, you must be:
Native or fluent in a language other than English.
A tutor with dual nationality.
A tutor who has studied languages at university.
How do I add extra subjects to my profile?
Once you are live on MyTutor, you can add additional subjects to your profile here.
When you request to add a new subject, our team will check that you meet the required grade criteria. If approved, the subject will be added to your profile within a few days.
