Is a shift you want already filled? It may not be for long! Every day MyWorkChoice workers drop shifts, giving you a choice to pick it up.
We launched a new waitlist feature in the MyWorkChoice app, where you can opt-in to a waitlist. As soon as the shift has an opening - we'll send you a notification giving you the option to pick up the shift in the app.
(Please note joining a waitlist does not guarantee the shift will be available for you to pick up. By opting into a waitlist - we will notify you as soon as the shift has an opening based on your Reliability Rating).
Here’s how it works!
Opt-in to Shift Waitlist
Log in to the app and go to My Shifts – Available screen. (Make sure to have the "filled shifts filter" turned on so you’ll see which shifts are filled).
Opt into the waitlist by swiping right next to the “join the waitlist” – turning the button green. (Please note joining a waitlist does not guarantee that the shift will be available to pick up. If it does become available, you'll have to pick up the shift to claim it).
Once you join the waitlist you'll see this confirmation message.
Option #2 – Opt-in to a Shift Waitlist
Another way you can opt-in to a waitlist is by selecting the shift name on the My Shifts screen which will send you to the shift details screen.

Opt-Out of the Shift Waitlist
If you are no longer interested in a shift please opt yourself out of the waitlist by selecting “remove from the waitlist.”
How Will I Be Notified When a Shift is Available to Pick Up?
When a shift is open and available to pick up we will send you a notification in the app based on your Reliability Rating.
🟢 Priority Access – 80-100: First to choose any shifts.
🟡 Standard Access - 60-79: Choose shifts 1 hour after priority workers.
🔴 Limited Access - Below 59: Choose same-day or next day shifts.
(We highly encourage you to turn on your app notifications so that you know when the shift has an opening so you can pick it up).
Click on the notification which will send you to the shift details screen where you must select the "pick up shift" green button to pick up the shift. (Act fast. This is first come first serve).
Waitlist Rules & Reminders
Turn on the “Filled Shifts Filter” so you’ll know if a shift is filled.
Any MyWorkChoice worker can join a waitlist.
3 & Above Star Workers will be notified first when a shift is open and available to pick up. It is first come first serve – turn on your app notifications so that you know when a shift has an opening so that you can pick it up.
Below 3 Star Workers will be notified no more than 2 days prior to the shift time.
