NamasteLight for MINDBODY: Segmentation

By pairing up NamasteLight for MINDBODY with our powerful segmentation tool, you'll be on your way to sending beautiful email campaigns that strategically target your audience.

If you're new to segmenting, you'll want to first learn the basics by heading to this article.

Once you're savvy with segmenting, you can refer below for instructions and use cases for common MINDBODY-based segments.

Client Indexes

In this example, we'll use a client index named Preferred Workout Time with values Morning, Afternoon, and Evening. Head here for more info on client indexes.

Map the Preferred Workout Time client index to a NamasteLight field

Create a segment in which the Preferred Workout Time equals Morning (case sensitive) and name the segment Prefers morning workouts

Repeat Step 2 for each of the remaining client index values

Genders

Map the Gender field

Create a segment in which the Gender field equals Male or Female (case sensitive)

Location

Map any of the location fields: City, State, Zip Code

Create a segment in which the location field equals your targeted location (case sensitive) Note: data in the City field is listed in ALL CAPS and your segment should reflect this.

Members

Map the Contract Status field

Create a segment in which the Contract Status field equals Active (case sensitive)

Membership Types

Map the Contract Name field

Create a segment in which the Contract Name field equals the name of the type of Membership you want to target

Non-Members

Map the Contract Status field

Create a segment in which the Contract Status field does not equal Active (case sensitive)

Recent Visitors

Map the Overall Last Visit field

Create a segment in which the Last Visit Field is within the last 30 days

Recent New Visitors

Map the First Class Date or First Appointment Date field

Create a segment in which either of those date fields is within the last 30 days

Studio Location

Some franchises are set up with multiple studio locations within one MINDBODY site. If this is the case, you can map a contact's Home Studio Location field in NamasteLight, which syncs with the Home Location Name field in MINDBODY. Segments are case sensitive so you'll need to enter the name exactly as it appears in your MBO studio.

The default - All Locations - lists the name in the Home Location Name field as blank. If you want to segment based on All Locations, you'll create a segment that looks for two pieces of criteria: members in your MBO group and with the Home Studio Location field set to empty.
