How are Providers approved by Plutus?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Our mission is to curate the highest quality, professional financial research for our clients. To maintain this standard, we evaluate every potential provider through three core lenses: Trust, Validation, and Specialization.

1. Trust & Data

We prioritize providers with extensive, data-backed track records. For us, trust is built through radical transparency and meticulous record-keeping over multiple years.

  • The Gold Standard: Multi-year model portfolios with verifiable history.

  • The Verification: A deep-dive review of the provider's data via dashboards, spreadsheets, and/or public performance logs.

2. Market Validation & Demand

We use the public perception as one barometer for quality. If people are willing to follow and pay for a Provider's insights, it serves as a powerful proxy for real-world value.

  • Total Reach: The scale of a Provider's audience across platforms like X, Substack, and YouTube.

  • Economic Proof: The size and cost of a Provider's paid subscriber base, which validates that their research provides a tangible ROI.

3. Strategic Specialization

While we welcome generalists, we are actively building a diverse marketplace of niches to ensure our clients have access to a broad assortment of strategies.

  • Qualitative Fit: We look at a Provider's specific asset focus and investment philosophy.

  • Structural Role: We determine if a provider's research functions as a standalone Portfolio (a complete account strategy) or a Basket (a component of a multi-strategy approach).

If your research aligns with these criteria, we would love to learn more about your process. To do so, please complete our Plutus Provider Survey. Thank you!
