The Activity section (represented by the Heartbeat icon) provides a comprehensive log of every completed trade and submitted order sent to your brokerage account. This section is divided into two primary data sets: Trades and Orders, ensuring full transparency into how your Strategy is being executed.

Trades vs. Orders: What is the Difference?

To help you track your account accurately, it is important to distinguish between these two views:

  • Trades: This view only includes data from filled orders. It reflects actual transactions that have been completed.

  • Orders: This view includes all orders tied to your account, whether they are filled, open, or cancelled.

Trades Fields

When reviewing your completed trades, the following account-specific details are available:

  • Symbol (ticker)

  • Position type (stock, option)

  • Side (buy, sell)

  • Action (open, close)

  • Size (quantity)

  • Price filled at

  • Commission charged by broker to execute

  • Net amount

  • Exchange

  • Trade Timestamp

Orders Fields

For a broader look at all activity (including pending or unsuccessful requests), the orders data includes:

  • Symbol (ticker)

  • Position type (stock, option)

  • Side (buy, sell)

  • Order type (for example market)

  • Quantity

  • AVG price

  • Status (filled, open, cancelled)

  • Timestamp
