How to export visuals as PNG, SVG, PPT or PDF?

Learn how to export your visuals in PNG, SVG, PPT, or PDF formats.

Updated this week

After creating a new document and generating visuals, you may want to export your work for use in other software like PowerPoint or Word.

Here are your export options:

1- Exporting a Visual as PNG, SVG, PPT, or PDF

To export a specific visual, hover over it or click to select the frame. Once selected, you’ll see an export button in the top-right corner - click on it to export.

This opens a preview modal where you can choose to export the visual as a PNG, SVG, PPT or PDF. You’ll also have a few additional options, including color settings and watermark control.

To remove the Napkin watermark from your export, simply turn off the “Napkin Logo” toggle before downloading.

2- Exporting the Entire Document as a PDF

You can export the entire document as a PDF file by clicking the 'Share' button in the top-right corner and selecting 'Download PDF'. You'll then have the option to choose between three export formats:

  • Single continuous page: This option creates one long page without breaks, ideal for maintaining consistency between text and visuals.

  • A4 page: Perfect for printing, this option formats the document into A4-sized pages.

  • Presentation (16:9) page: Optimised for presentation, this option formats the document into 16:9 slides, matching standard presentation tools.
