How to store the peaches?

Written by Nicole

For optimal storage, peaches should first be kept at room temperature, as they are climacteric fruits and continue to ripen after harvest. This is why they may arrive at different levels of firmness, allowing you to enjoy them gradually over time. If you want to speed up the ripening process, you can place them in a paper bag together with an apple or a banana.

Once the peaches have reached your preferred level of ripeness, they can be enjoyed immediatelybe or stored in a cool, dry place, preferably in the refrigerator. They can be stored for about one week under proper conditions. However, it’s important not to refrigerate them while they are still hard, as this may prevent them from ripening properly and fully developing their flavor.
