Our orange harvest runs from late December/ early January to April/May, with various varieties picked throughout the season. Most of our trees are Navel varieties, including Navelinas, Navel de Foyos, and Navel Lane Late. In addition, we’re also cultivating Salustiana oranges, which are known for their high juice content and sweeter taste.
Generally, the first oranges of the season can be more acidic, and as the season progresses, they become sweeter. The temperature difference between day and night influences this change. Each year, the timing of this temperature fluctuation varies, which can impact the sweetness of the oranges.
We harvest different varieties throughout the season, ensuring that you can always enjoy fresh oranges. We measure the sugar content of the oranges using the Brix scale to ensure that you receive oranges that are at their peak, even if the outside of the fruit might still be green. A freshly picked orange always has a more intense flavor than one that’s ripened in storage. Don’t let size or color fool you—just open one and enjoy the perfect balance of sweetness and freshness.
