To give an orange tree as a gift, you first need to register a user account at the moment of purchase. You can give any of your trees as a gift except the trees that were given as a gift to you and are maintained by another person.
Adopt a tree via your user account (or click on the tree you have already adopted).
After you have selected the tree, scroll down. Under the Google Maps map you will find the option "Give away this tree".
On the following page, you can then choose which costs you would like to pay for the tree:
Option A: Only the tree purchase 80€
Option B: The tree (80€) + the annual maintenance (60€)
Option C: The tree (80€) + the annual maintenance (60€) + the logistic costs.
Then you enter the first and last name as well as the e-mail address of the recipient and when he/she should be informed about the gift.
On the selected date, the presentee will receive an e-mail in which he/she must accept the tree - only then will it become the property of the new person. A user account is automatically created on the e-mail address that you have given us and to which the gift e-mail is sent. Of course, the name of the tree can then be changed by the new owner in his or her user account.
Shortly after the purchase, you can download a purchase certificate under the picture of the tree, on which the name of the recipient will automatically appear. Remember that the system has recognised that you want to give the tree to someone else. So you can't order any fruit from it, as this is automatically reserved for the future owners.
