We sunset this feature in October 2025.
For algorithm and readability reasons, it is not recommend to use Bold and Italic – focus more on the content of the text and use emojis as "eye-catchers" and bullet points/numbers.
The problem is:
The characters cannot be read by screen readers. This means that they're not good for accessibility.
The characters won't be indexed in plain text for search purposes, so you shouldn't put keywords or other important terms in faux bold or italic.
