These instructions are to perform a partial download a Verifone VX520 and VX520CLS terminal that is boarded through PaySafe. These instructions will work regardless of the back end processor provided the VX520 has the correct encryption.

Is this a Dial Up Terminal?
Before starting these instructions, make sure the customer is using an ethernet cable, and that it is plugged into the proper ETH port on the bottom of the machine.
Often times customers using dial up also have the internet in an office of the business and can perform the download there. If you are performing an IP download for a Dial up phone the steps are the same, except Part 3 needs to be done after you have moved the terminal to its original location and plugged it into the phone line.
Have you batched out?
Typically, partial downloads don’t impact the batch on the terminal. However there are rare occasions when they can harm or prevent it from batching. I recommend settling the batch, if possible, before doing the download just to be safe.
