Before your launch your Campaign, it's imperative you confirm that your Campaign, Budgets, Creatives, and Ads have been created properly.
The Advertiser
On the Advertiser tab, confirm that your advertiser logo is accurate and has a transparent background. A transparent background renders most cleanly across publications.
Double check that your advertiser name is external-facing and accurately represents the brand sponsoring the campaign. The advertiser name will appear in the byline of your In-Feed Unit and your Content Landing Page for Native Article.
Navigate to the Pixels tab. Confirm that all relevant pixels are showing as Active if they have already been placed on a live brand site.
The Budget
Check that the Flight start date is set to a future date and that it accurately reflects when the campaign will launch.
Ensure that "Optimize By" is set to "Engagement," which is recommended to optimize towards both CTR and post-click engagement, driving qualified clicks for the campaign.
Use the Check Inventory feature to ensure that Available Impressions exceed your Target Impressions needed to deliver in full. We recommend aiming for this number to be 3-5x higher than your target to accommodate for availability changes as the flight progresses.
Confirm that you've selected contextual categories relevant to the content you're running to ensure it appears in relevant locations on publisher sites.
Check that geo-targets are selected. If you’re targeting the entire US, remember to select the United States as your targeting location.
The Creatives
On the In-Feed Unit
Ensure that the URL directs to an accurate, working destination.
Check that multiple headlines and preview images are in place to enable automated campaign optimization and maximize performance.
Ensure Preview Text is in place to introduce readers to the brand's content and drive CTR.
Double check that headlines are formatted in title case, with the first letter of each word capitalized to mirror formatting on publisher sites.
On your Native Article
Ensure that you have a Default Click Link in place on your Creative. This dictates where users will land if they click on the Advertiser byline.
Check that a call-to-action is included at the end of the content to direct users to the next step and drive ongoing brand engagement.
