To ensure the best experience while using our platform, it’s essential to understand the devices, browsers, and features we support. This guide provides a detailed overview of compatible operating systems, browser versions, and feature-specific requirements, including screen sharing, virtual backgrounds, and AI noise suppression.

Whether you're accessing from a desktop or mobile device, this article outlines the optimal setups and highlights key limitations to help you make the most of your experience. For troubleshooting tips and additional considerations, explore the different sections below:

Desktop Browsers

Operating system

Browsers

macOS

  • Chrome

  • Firefox

  • Safari

  • Edge

Windows

  • Chrome

  • Firefox

  • Edge

To ensure the best user experience, we recommend using Chrome or Edge. Whatever browser you are using please ensure you have updated to the latest version and are using the latest version of the operating system.

Desktop Browser Versions

See the following table for the supported browsers on desktop:

Google Chrome 100 or later

Edge Browser 85 or later

Firefox 100 or later

Safari 16 or later

Mobile Browsers

  • iOS

    • Safari: latest version

    • Chrome: latest version

  • Android:

    • Chrome: latest version

    • Edge: latest version

You will not be able to screen share on any mobile device. To ensure the best user experience on mobile devices, we recommend using the most up-to-date version of your chosen browser.

Virtual Background

  • This extension works best when there is only one user in the video captured by the camera.

  • To get a better virtual background experience, we recommend using this feature on the latest version of Desktop Chrome.

  • We do not support background blur on Firefox and Safari browsers.

  • The virtual background feature has high performance requirements. We do not recommend using the background blur on mobile devices.

  • If other programs are occupying high system resources at the same time, your app may experience audio and video freezes.

  • When using this extension, we recommend selecting Performance mode or Balanced mode for your laptops. The computing requirements for this extension may not be met if the laptop is in a battery-saving mode.

Screen Sharing

  • Screen sharing is only supported in the following desktop browsers:

    • Chrome 100 or above.

    • Firefox 100 or above.

    • Edge 85 and above on Windows 10+ platform.

    • Safari 16 or above

  • You cannot screen share on an android or iOS device.

AI Noise Suppression

Currently, AI Noise Suppression has the following limitations:

  • In some scenarios, AI Noise Suppression may cause audio quality to decrease by a certain degree.

  • When multiple people speak at the same time, the audio quality of the lowest voices could be decreased by a certain degree.

Media Stream Fallback

In situations with poor network conditions, the quality of audio and video may decrease. When the network is unstable and it's challenging to maintain both audio and video quality, the Video SDK automatically adjusts by switching the video stream to a lower quality or, if necessary, switches to audio-only mode to ensure better audio quality.
