How to register on our platform and join a Natter event

New users join Natter by clicking on a unique URL link provided by an event organiser

If you have been invited to a Natter event, we have outlined some initial guidance below to ensure you are set up to join and can participate in the experience fully. Below, we answer the following questions:


What do I need to join a Natter event?

In order to join a Natter event, you will need:

  1. A desktop or laptop device with an integrated or stand-alone camera, microphone and speakers

  2. A supported internet browser installed, where we support the latest version of either Google Chrome (here) or Microsoft Edge (here)

  3. A stable, low latency internet connection speed of >5mbps (ideally >10mbps) to participate fully in the interactive experience


I have a URL link for a Natter event, how do I join it?

Users join their first Natter event by clicking on a URL link for a Public Event. To join, you will be provided with a unique Public Event URL link, which looks similar to the below:

Once the organiser has provided you with the unique URL link, follow these steps to join the Natter event:

  1. Click on the link or copy and paste the URL for the event into a web browser supported by Natter (being either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge)

  2. You will reach the event page for the Natter event you are due to attend, which will look like the below (or branded with the logo of the organiser who invited you)

  3. In order to join the event, you must sign up by clicking the 'Register' button

If you have not been provided with a URL link for a Natter event and you have been invited, you should request this from the organiser that invited you. The organiser might have provided this to you by adding it to the 'Where' section of a calendar invite.


I registered for a Natter event ahead of time, how do I join at its scheduled start time?

If you have previously registered for a Natter event prior to its scheduled start time, you can join the event by clicking here to sign into your account on our platform, or entering the below into your browser address bar:

https://app.natter.co/

When you log in, navigate to the 'My events' page from the left hand toolbar. After clicking 'My events', you will see the event you previously registered for, as below.

Identify and click on the event you wish to join.

If you do not see the event in 'My events', you might not have registered for it. If you click on the URL link provided by the event organiser, you will be able to register for the event and join.
