Resetting your smart pod

The instructions in this guide will show you how to reset your Digital Food Safety smart pod.

To obtain the correct reset instructions, first we need to identify which pod you have. Pods are easily identifiable by their appearance.

Dark Pod

Light Pod

R4 Pod

Dark pod

Reset Instructions:

Press the button for between 3 - 10 seconds. The device will flash green five times to indicate it is switched on. After a few seconds it will flash green again, indicating it has connected to the network.

Please note:

Once your pod is switched on, it could take up to 30 minutes for your appliance to report a temperature or appear online on the Digital Food Safety platform.


Light pod

Reset Instructions:

Press the blue ACT for 5 seconds. The green LED will fast blink 5 times followed by a red light. The device will then attempt to connect to your Navitas Hub. The green LED will then solidly turn on for 5 seconds after the Pod has connected successfully.

R4 (Walkie talkie) pod:

Reset Instructions:

In order to reset your pod press 'test', 'reset', 'test', 'reset' rapidly.

This should make the green and red light flash one at a time (red, green, red, green).

If the red and green light both flash at the same time that means the pod has been turned off so you would need to press 'test', 'reset', 'test', 'reset' again to switch it back on.
