Who can add participants
All users who are participants on a transfer can add new participants. The roles you are able to add depend on your own transfer role.
GP Side (GP, GP Counsel, GP Administrator): Can add GP-side participants only.
Note: GP Admin can also add participants on any side of the transfer.
Transferor Side (Transferor, Transferor Counsel, Transferor Administrator): Can add Transferor-side participants only.
Transferee Side (Transferee, Transferee Counsel, Transferee Administrator): Can add Transferee-side participants only.
Adding a participant to an existing transfer
Open the Transfer Overview for your transfer.
In the Transfer Participants card, click Add Participant.
Complete the required fields in the pop-up:
Email Address*
Organization Type*: The choice will appear between: Investment Firm, Law Firm, or Administrator Firm. This selection filters the available roles in the next dropdown. Note: you will only be able to add participants based on your own role in the transfer, as detailed below.
Role in Transfer Process*: The available roles depend on the Organization Type selected:
Investment Firm: General Partner, Transferor, Transferee
Law Firm: GP Counsel, Transferor Counsel, Transferee Counsel
Administrator Firm: GP Administrator, Transferor Administrator, Transferee Administrator
Click Add Participant.
The new participant will receive an email invitation to join the transfer.
Managing Participants
The Participants table on the Transfer Overview page displays each participant's Name, Email, Role, and Status (Active, Pending, or Deactivated). To manage a participant, click the menu (⋮) on their row. The options available depend on the participant's current status:
Active: Edit or Deactivate. Deactivating a participant immediately revokes their access to the transfer. A confirmation prompt will appear before the action is processed. The participant will receive an email notifying them that their access has been revoked.
Pending: Resend Invite or Edit. Resending an invite generates a new invitation email with a fresh link.
Deactivated: Activate or Edit. Reactivating a participant restores their access to the transfer. They will receive an email notification confirming their access has been restored.
The same side-based permissions apply to editing and deactivating participants as to adding them. You can only manage participants on your own side of the transfer, unless you are GP Admin, who can manage all sides.
You cannot deactivate yourself. If you need to be removed from a transfer, ask another participant on your side to deactivate you.
Important: The last remaining General Partner on a transfer cannot be deactivated. The system will block the action with an error message.
