If the customer cannot find an available slot on their desired days/times, they can join the Cancellation Watch queue to receive SMS notifications when an appointment becomes available to book:

The customer can filter by the date-time/shop/staff/service to receive notifications for:

The admin can also do this on their behalf on the Timetable page by clicking + Add a customer to Cancellation Watch against the shop:

When a cancellation occurs, the first customer in the queue receives an SMS prompting a booking, followed by the second customer 1 minute later, the third customer another minute later and so on. If it gets to 1 hour before the appointment and it is still unfilled, everyone in the queue that has not yet been notified will receive an immediate SMS to help fill the slot ASAP.

For example, a 12:00 appointment gets cancelled at 10:57:

  • [10:57] Customer 1 in the queue is immediately notified.

  • [10:58] Customer 2 is notified.

  • [10:59] Customer 3 is notified.

  • [11:00] At one hour before the appointment, all remaining customers in the queue are notified at once.

Appointments booked through Cancellation Watch are marked with a binocular icon on the Timetable page:

You can enable Cancellation Watch within Business Boosters, configure the settings, and view its performance to date in terms of the value produced and volume of cancellation notifications.
