Overview

To ensure your listings post to Amazon when listing in Neatoscan and orders from Amazon come into Neatoscan, you must renew the API tokens each year, or after changing credentials. These tokens allow the two platforms to communicate, sending orders and listing data back and forth. However, when these tokens expire annually, they can disrupt the connection if not updated. This guide will walk you through renewing your Amazon API tokens to ensure seamless connections between Neatoscan and Amazon.

How to Check the Status of Your Amazon API Tokens

Amazon API Tokens typically expire on a yearly basis. Additionally, changing your password or other sensitive information can sometimes cause your API tokens to expire as well. To check when your tokens expire, follow the steps below.

  1. From your Seller Central home page, click the settings icon and select User Permissions.

  2. In User Permissions, scroll down and click Visit Manage Your Apps.

  3. Locate Neatoscan Inventory Manager and you will be able to see when the tokens were last updated, and sometimes when they expire as well.

How to Update Your Amazon API Tokens

Updating your Amazon tokens directly through Seller Central often does not work, so it's best to go through the link provided below, or instead click Get OAuth Token under the Amazon section in the Neatoscan Marketplace settings.

  1. In Neatoscan, navigate to settings.

  2. Click on the Marketplaces tab.

  3. Select Get OAuth Token under the Amazon section. This will send you to account.neatoscan.com/amazon.aspx in your browser.

  4. From the Neatoscan account website, enter your username and password, then click LOG IN.

  5. Click the top link for Amazon North America. If you sell in Europe on Amazon as well, click the bottom link too after completing the process with the top one. Once you click on the link, you will be redirected to Seller Central.

  6. Sign in when prompted to Amazon with your main Seller Central credentials.

  7. Scroll down and toggle the checkbox to accept the terms and give Neatoscan access to the API.

  8. Click “Sign up / Log in to Neatoscan Inventory Manager” to finalize this.
