Overview
To ensure your listings post to eBay and Neatoscan orders are updated, you must renew the API tokens each year. These tokens allow the two platforms to communicate, sending orders and listing data back and forth. However, when these tokens expire annually, they can disrupt the connection if not updated. This guide will walk you through renewing your eBay API tokens. This will ensure seamless connections between Neatoscan and eBay.
Renewing Your eBay Tokens
To renew your eBay tokens, you will need the username and password for your eBay account and access to the marketplace settings in Neatoscan. The directions to update your tokens on both the books and collectibles side will be shown below.

Renewing Tokens on the Books side
Go to Settings on the books side.
Click on the Marketplaces tab.
Locate the eBay section and click Test Tokens. This is how you can test to see if the tokens are still valid or not.
Click the Get Auth & Auth button. This will cause a pop-up to appear.
Click OK on the first pop-up, then a browser will open on the eBay login screen.
Sign in with your eBay username and password.
Click Agree. The screen will now update, displaying “Success”.
Navigate back to Neatoscan and click Get OAuth Token
Click OK on the first pop-up, then a browser will open on the eBay token retrieval link.
From the eBay window, If prompted to, log in, otherwise, wait until the screen displays “Success”. After this, go back to Neatoscan.
From Neatoscan, wait around 10 seconds to ensure the tokens have had time to load in, then click Test Tokens again to ensure the tokens are valid. If they are Invalid, repeat this process or contact neatoscan support.
12. Switch to any other tab, then back to the Marketplaces tab. This will force a reload. You can test the tokens after this to double check that the changes are saved.
Renewing Tokens on the Collectibles side
Go to Settings on the collectibles side.
Navigate to the Organization tab.
From the Organization tab, choose the Marketplaces tab.
Locate the eBay section and click Test Token. This is how you can test to see if the tokens are still valid. If the user ID and fields above display an error message, the tokens must be renewed.
Click the Get Token button. This will cause a pop-up to appear. From here, wait until the browser opens.
From the browser, sign in with your eBay username and password.
Click Agree. The screen will now update, displaying “Success”.
Navigate back to Neatoscan and click OK on the pop-up.
Select Save at the bottom to save your progress and ensure the first token is updated.
Click Get OAuth Token
Click OK on the first pop-up, then a browser will open on the eBay token retrieval link.
From the eBay window, If prompted to, log in, otherwise, wait until the screen displays “Success”. After this, go back to Neatoscan.
From Neatoscan, click Save to make sure all changes are saved.
Click Test Tokens to ensure the tokens are valid. If they are Invalid, repeat this process or contact neatoscan support.
