Accepted identity documents
You must prove your identity to onboard, accept memberships, and reset your passcode. An identity document is always required for identification. This article describes the accepted identity documents.
Identity document requirements
Originality: you must use an original document for identification; digital or photocopied duplicates aren’t accepted.
Validity: your document must be current and not expired.
Integrity: your document should be clear, undamaged, and without smudges, blurriness, or alterations.
Document visibility: no information on your document should be obstructed or hidden.
Accuracy: your document must reflect your current details; for example, if you’ve changed your name, the ID should show the updated name.
Consistency: the information on your document must match the details entered when you created your payment account (during onboarding).
Accepted document types
In the identification process, you may be required to choose from some of the following documents types*:
National identity card
Passport
Residence permit
Driving license
If you aren’t presented with a list of documents to choose from, or if your document is not accepted, submit a request to Swan Support.
