Why is my incoming transfer delayed?

Why is my incoming transfer delayed?

Standard SEPA transfers typically arrive within 1 business day, but delays can occur due to:

  • Weekends and public holidays β€” Banks do not process standard SEPA transfers on non-business days. A transfer sent on Friday evening may not arrive until Monday.

  • Sender's bank processing time β€” Some banks batch transfers and process them at specific times during the day.

  • Intermediary checks β€” Transfers may be held for compliance or fraud screening by the sending or receiving bank.

  • Incorrect details β€” If the sender used an incorrect reference or name, processing may be delayed.

If a transfer has not arrived after 2 business days, ask the sender to confirm the IBAN they used and check the status with their bank. If the issue persists, contact support through the chat or at support@neno.co and we can trace the transfer.
