If you're having trouble with the standard process for linking your financial accounts, you can add them manually by following the steps below.
Note that manually added accounts do not automatically update. For a complete and up-to-date picture of your balances you'll need to manually add your transactions for these accounts using the process described here.
For this reason, manually adding accounts is a better option for accounts whose balances don't change frequently, like investing accounts.
To manually add a financial account from the NerdWallet app:
Start by making sure you've downloaded the latest version of the app and have signed into your NerdWallet account.
1. From your Home tab, scroll down to ASSETS
2. Tap LINK AN ACCOUNT, then Add an account manually.
3. Fill out the information requested. If the amount entered is owed, such as a loan, credit card, or mortgage, please add a - in front of the number so it reads as a negative balance in your Net Worth.
4. Select "Add".
