Where do I find independent witnesses and a notary public?

Updated over 4 years ago

Generally, you may ask anyone who is not named in your Will or other documents to be a witness. Typically, your banking institution can provide a notary and witnesses; however, you may be charged a fee for such services by the banking institution.

The witnesses and notary public should not be a person named in any of your documents, a family member or beneficiary, or your doctor or any other healthcare provider.
