What does "durable" mean with regard to Powers of Attorney?

Updated over 4 years ago

In the estate planning process, this term is usually used in a “durable power of attorney” so that the document continues to be effective indefinitely—until the principal revokes it or until the principal’s death. The powers conveyed by the document are not affected by the disability or incapacity of the person giving the power.
