The Look forward days parameter specifies how far into the future you wish to have the app look for Recommended Orders and bring them forward to today. This is useful for dealing with supplier shutdowns, Chinese New Year or instances where an item has a long review period and order review happens infrequently.

To use the look forward days on an adhoc basis:

  • Navigate to the Orders screen

  • Click the radio button next to a selected supplier

  • Specify a look forward days value for the supplier

  • Click the “Create order” button

By default, the look forward days value will be 1. A different default look forward days value may be specified or set by supplier.

To change the default look forward days by supplier:

  • Drill into the Edit Supplier details screen by selecting Suppliers in the navigation menu and clicking the pencil icon; or

  • Search the supplier name in the Omni search bar and click the pencil icon; or

  • Navigate to Inquiry > Details > Supplier, and click on the supplier hyperlink; or

  • Navigate to Orders > Order from supplier, and click on the supplier hyperlink; or

  • Click on the supplier hyperlink anywhere you see the supplier description in the app.

  • Specify a suitable Default look forward days for orders value

  • Click the “Update” button
