An item's stocking indicator may be imported into the App from the ERP system or set up in the App. If maintained within the App, the stocking indicator may be further refined by configuring the appropriate rules within the Classification parameters screen. The Policy overrides screen may be used to override the stocking indicator, whether imported for your ERP system or configured in the Classification parameters screen.
The classification label itself will vary to reflect if an item is manually classified or auto classified.
Auto classified items are classified by the App.
Manually classified items' classifications are either imported from your ERP system or set using specially implemented rules.
For Stocked items, the position in the 9 block matrix is reflected as a mini graphic. This is a reminder of how important the item is overall and can be used to help steer your time and value investment into the product.
Non-stocked items will only be ordered when firm demand exists for the item. Firm demand is defined as Sales orders, BOM demand or Distribution demand.
Obsolete items will never come up for ordering.
