The exception lists on the dashboard are designed to be used frequently. If you have an Excess stock item, for example, that you are unable to do anything about, you can remove it from the top 5 stock outs list by "muting" it.

Muting an item hides it from the Top 5 list in the dashboard for the duration of the lead time for all users. It allows for items that have been reviewed to be hidden so that new items that need attention can be displayed. It does not exclude the item from the App. An item can only be muted from the dashboard. To mute an item:

  • Hover over the bar next to the description of the item you wish to mute

  • A button should appear which you can then click

  • If you hover over the value of the muted item, the date until which the item will be muted will be displayed (always calculated as today + the lead time)

  • If you would like to unmute the item sooner than the given date, you can do this by:

    • drilling into the inquiry screen of the item

    • navigating to the status panel of the item

    • clicking on "mute" (which will unmute that item)

Please note: "forecast exceeds sales" and "sales exceeds forecast" items on the dashboard cannot be muted.
