Unlike Client Administrator users, the Restricted users in the App have no access to any part of the system that could potentially give them access to view or modify any information or locations, other than those they have been granted access to.

When creating a user, select whether they should be a Client Administrator or a Restricted user. For Restricted users, select the access they should have to new locations by default (no access, read only, or full access).

Restricted users lose access to the following areas:

  • Settings: The Settings menu which includes:

    • Configuration (various global settings)

    • Classification configuration

    • Policy defaults

    • Policy overrides

    • Region setup

  • System: The entire System menu which includes:

    • User Admin (Create or edit user accounts, including resetting a user’s password)

    • User Logs (user audit logs)

    • Data quality report

    • Data refresh (Extract new data from your ERP or reprocess Netstock data)

  • Suppliers: ability to edit suppliers

  • Orders: The “Everyone’s Orders” option in the Saved recommended orders tab

  • User: Edit their own access level

Restricted users also lose access to the following unless they have access to every location:

  • Supplier performance module: Access

  • Stock projection module: Access

  • Report builder

  • Advanced reports

Restricted users without full access to any location will lose access to:

  • Orders

Restricted users lose access to the following functions for read only locations:

  • Dashboard: Mute item

  • Forecasts: Adjust items

  • Forecasts: Adjust totals

  • Locations: Edit

  • Locations: Edit location data

  • Orders: Create

  • Orders • Order: edit or action the order

  • Orders • Saved Orders: Download or Archive individual orders

  • Enquiry: Edit stocking indicator

  • Enquiry: Amend forecast

Note: Read only users can still add item comments and delete their own comments. Restricted users with No Access to a location cannot see any data related to that location.

Restricted users with some form of access to every location are able to use the supplier performance, stock projection and report builder modules, as well as advanced reports. The moment a restricted user does not have access to all locations, they also lose access to the previously mentioned features unless their Default access for new locations value is “Read only” or “Full access”.
