Fill rate impact is a measure of how much an individual item has reduced the location's fill rate.
Please read the article on What is Fill rate impact? before exploring this calculation.
Below is an example of a location with 6 items:
Let's calculate the fill rate impact for each item by following the steps below:
Calculate the Actual fill value by multiplying Achieved fill %, Cost price and 12 month avg forecast.
Calculate the Fill value at 100% by multiplying 100%, Cost price and 12 month avg forecast.
Sum the Actual fill value and Fill value at 100%.
Location fill rate = Actual fill value / Fill value at 100%.
Fill rate impact = Difference between the Location fill rate and what the Location fill rate would have been if an item’s Achieved fill % was 100%
Let’s change Item A’s Achieved fill % to 100%:
Doing so increased the Location fill rate from 90.7% to 91.78%. Hence, the Fill rate impact for Item A is 1.08%
Items with an Achieved fill % of 100% will have a Fill rate impact of zero.
Note that none of the calculations include Target fill %. Target fill rate does NOT impact Fill rate impact.
