How to set up two-factor authentication (2FA)

To complete your initial set up your 2FA with Inventory Advisor, please complete these steps:

  1. On your mobile device (phone or tablet), install an authenticator app from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store or official app store for your device. We recommend Google Authenticator but other compatible authenticator apps may also be used.

    Note: Please check with your business if they have a preferred authenticator app.

  2. Log into Inventory Advisor on your work device as per normal with just your email address and password (leave the verification code blank). You will be presented with a unique QR barcode.

  3. Open the authenticator app you installed on your mobile device. Add an account and choose to scan the QR code shown on your screen. Once added, the app will start to generate numeric codes which change regularly. This is called your verification code.

  4. Back on your work device, enter the current verification code to confirm you have set up your 2FA account successfully. You will then be logged out of the app automatically.

  5. Finally, log into Inventory Advisor again, this time providing your email address, password and verification code. You will need to repeat this step whenever logging into the app in the future.
