The Report Builder is used to create once-off or recurring reports for analysis.
To edit, delete or download pre-existing reports, click on the relevant button in the rightmost field of reports in the list.
To create a new report, click the “Add report” button.
The following screen will launch:
Select the report type and any additional data fields required. The columns pre-selected for the base report are determined by the report type. These can be edited.
Specify a name or description for the report.
Specify a file name for downloading the report and indicate whether to include headings.
Specify the maximum number of rows to include in the report. Leave blank for no limit.
Specify whether the report should be generated daily with fresh data. Leave blank for a once-off report. Note: Once-off reports will remain on the list until deleted and can be run manually on an ad hoc basis.
Specify whether the report is public or private. Private reports are not accessible by other users. Public reports can be viewed and edited by other users.
Add an optional note.
Click the “Add” button to proceed or the "Cancel" button to return to the main screen.
Click the “Edit” button to alter details specified when creating the report.
Click the “Add a filter” button to limit the data included in the report.
Click the “Add a column” button to select information to include in the report.
Click the “Add sort order” button to select a column to sort the information on. Note: Only columns specified in the Column panel will be available for selection.
Click the “Preview” button to view what the report will look like and click the “Run and download” button to download the report to your machine.
When Report Builder is not enabled, most of the UI can still be accessed to create, edit, and preview reports, but these cannot be downloaded.
A lock icon will be visible. Clicking on the "Run and download" button will redirect to https://content.netstock.com/report-builder-module where access can be requested.
