Navigate to Settings > Configuration > Supplier

Definition

This setting allows fulfilled purchase orders older than the specified months to be excluded when calculating item lead time and safety stock.

Use case

Purchase orders that occurred long ago are not always as relevant today as more recent purchase order data. The supplier may have improved or a pandemic may have occurred. For various reasons, it may be beneficial to limit the amount of history considered to just the past 12 months.

However, specifying a value too short, may result in not having enough data points. Considering the app needs three valid historic purchase orders for the calculation of lead time and safety stock, don’t limit this setting to 12 months when the supplier potentially only makes 2 deliveries a year.

Carefully consider the data before changing this setting. Reduce this setting with caution.
