Navigate to Settings > Configuration > Orders

Definition

Allows items being ordered from an alternative supplier to be added to an order.

Use case

Some businesses may allow items from an alternative (non-primary) supplier to be added to orders, while others don’t. This is all dependent on company policies and operations.

  • Where company policies prohibit having items from alternative suppliers added to an order, this configuration setting should be disabled.

  • However, if your business process requires it, this setting can be enabled. When enabled, an additional toggle will be visible on the “Add a product to the order” tab, allowing the display and selection of products linked to an alternative supplier.
