Moving a Donation Between Campaigns

If a donor gave online, but was mixed up and gave through the wrong campaign page, you can update the campaign from your admin dashboard

If your donor gave online through one page, but you know they intended to contribute via another campaign, you can update the campaign the gift is associated with in your admin account. 

Moving a Donation Between Campaigns

First, you'll want to navigate to the "People" tab in Fundraising Pages, then to select "Donors/Fundraisers" from the dropdown menu.

You should then begin typing the name of the donor in the search field on this screen once it loads, and select the correct donor from a list of suggestions that appear. Can't find the donor in question? Try searching for their email address, or just their last name.

Once you've selected the donor, you should a list of all of their prior donations and transactions on their Donor Profile.

You'll want to locate the specific donation you're trying to move, and click the "Actions" button next to that donation, then select "Edit" from the dropdown menu that appears.

Next, you'll want to locate the "Donated To" field under the "General Information" section, and click on the "Edit" link in that field.

You should then see a new section at the bottom of your screen titled "Change the Cause/Campaign Donated To". You'll want to leave the "Cause" field as is - but you can then select the campaign you'd like to reassign the donation to in the "Campaign" field.

Once you're satisfied with this change, you can then click on "Save & Exit" - and the donation should now be located under the updated campaign.
