No new score is calculated for that day. On the chart, the missed day appears as an empty dot connected by a dotted line (instead of a filled dot connected by a solid line), so you can see at a glance which days you typed and which you skipped. Your previous scores stay in your history, and your scoring picks up again as soon as you type the next day.
