Run a credit check

Quickly identify students who may not be on track to graduate with the Credit Checker Overview in jmc Office.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Credit Checker Overview gives guidance counselors and administrators an at-a-glance view of each graduating class’s progress toward meeting graduation requirements. Easy-to-read deficiency reports highlight which students are missing credits and what requirements remain—eliminating the need for manual tracking or paper-based audits. With jmc, you can efficiently pinpoint students who need additional credits or interventions to stay on track for graduation.

In jmc Office, head to Grading > Credit Checker > Credit Check Overview to get started checking credit status.

Step One: Select a graduation year from the “Graduation Year” drop-down list to narrow the results to a specific class.

Step Two (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Assume Students Passed Registered Courses" checkbox to count current courses as credits earned toward graduation requirements.

Step Three: Click the "Preview" button to view the following credit information:

  • Subject Area: a group of courses that fall within the same curricular category

  • Deficient: the number of students who have not yet met the graduation credit requirements defined in the Credit Checker for that subject area

  • Potentially Deficient: the number of students who would not meet graduation credit requirements if their current courses in the subject area are not passed

  • Student Names: A list of students who are deficient or potentially deficient

Step Four: Click the "Print" button to print a copy of the Credit Check Overview or save it as a PDF for future reference.
