Taking a screenshot can be helpful when summarizing a questio/ issue and sending it to a Customer Success team member. That said, below you will find step-by-step instructions for taking a screenshot (for Mac or PC users): 

For Mac Users 

How to take a screenshot of your entire screen - 

  1. Press Shift-Command (⌘)-3.

  2. Find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.

How to take a screenshot of a selected portion of your screen - 

  1. Press Shift-Command-4. The pointer will change to a crosshair.

  2. Move the crosshair to where you want to frame your screenshot, then drag it over the selected area. While dragging, you can hold Shift, Option, or the Space bar to change the way the selection moves.  

  3. When you've selected the area you want, release your mouse or trackpad button.       To cancel, press the Esc (Escape) key before you release the button.
  4. Find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.

For PC (Windows) Users

How to take a screenshot of your entire screen -

Look for the Print Screen key on your keyboard, which might be labeled PrtScn

  1. Find and press the PrtScn button. This screenshot will be placed on your clipboard. 

  2. Next, open an image editing program such as Microsoft Paint and either go to the Edit menu then select Paste or, for a faster method, hit Ctrl+V to paste the image into          the program.
3.  Go to the File menu then select Save As to save the image to a folder or your           desktop. 

How to take a screenshot of a selected portion of your screen - 

  1. Find and Press Alt+PrtScn.

  2.  Next, open an image editing program such as Microsoft Paint and either go to the Edit menu then select Paste or, for a faster method, hit Ctrl+V to paste the image into the program.

  3.  Go to the File menu then select Save As to save the image to a folder or your desktop.
