Introduction
The Media Manager in Newsifier allows you to manage all the images used on your site, such as logos, article images, etc...
It allows you to upload, organize, and edit your media seamlessly within the admin panel. With features like tagging, watermarking, and gallery creation, the Media Manager ensures your images are well-organized and ready for use, streamlining your workflow and enhancing your content presentation.
Accessing the Media Manager
You can access the Media Manager in different ways:
Automatically, when you add an image to an article or in the editor.
From the Settings menu in the left sidebar of the admin panel.
โ
Uploading Images
The Media Manager provides two ways to upload images:
Browse Button: Click the "Browse" button to select one or more files from your device.
โDrag and Drop: Drag files directly into the upload area.

To find specific images, use the search fields at the top of the Media Manager. You can search by:
Title: The name of the image.
Watermark: Search for images with a specific watermark.
Tags: Easily search for images organized under specific tags.
Managing Image Properties
Select an image in the Media Manager to view and manage its properties. When an image is selected, a sidebar will appear on the right, displaying detailed options for the image.
Here's what you can do:

๐Note: Tags are for internal organization and wonโt appear on the front end.
Accessing an Image Directly from the Article Editor
To make image management easier, Newsifier allows you to jump directly to any image used in an article.
When you are editing an article in the Admin Panel, simply hover your mouse over any image inside the editor.
The file name of that image will appear on hover.
Click the name, and the Media Manager will automatically open.
The Media Manager will search for and highlight that exact image using its file nameโso you do not need to manually browse your folders.
This makes it much faster to view an image details, or update metadata without leaving your article.

In Newsifier V2, you can add captions specifically for featured images, which refer to the main images displayed at the top of an article. To add a caption:
After selecting the featured image in the Media Manager, locate the "Caption" field on the right-hand sidebar of the media manager.

Deleting Images from the Media Manager
You can delete images directly from the Media Manager if they are no longer needed. However, if an image is currently used in one or more articles, the system will notify you before the deletion is completed.
How to delete an image
Open the Media Manager from the CMS.
Click the image you want to remove.
Click the Delete button at the bottom of the Media Manager.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
๐Note: You can only delete a single image at a time.
What happens if the image is used in articles?
If the image is currently used as a featured image in one or more articles, the system will display a warning message before the deletion proceeds.
This message will:
Show the number of articles using the image
Provide links to those articles so you can review them
Ask you to confirm whether you want to continue deleting the image
What happens to articles after deleting the image?
If you proceed with deleting the image:
Any article that used this image as its featured image will automatically revert to the Default Article Image configured in your settings.
This ensures that articles do not appear without a featured image on the website.
If no default image is configured
If your website does not have a default article image set, the system will notify you and provide a link to the settings page where you can configure one.
You will need to set a default image before proceeding with the deletion.
Tip
Before deleting an image that is used in articles, it is recommended to:
Review the listed articles
Replace the image manually if a different image should be used instead
This helps maintain the visual quality of your articles.
