Introduction
The Product Review block in Newsifier allows you to insert product reviews within your articles easily. This feature enables you to add product details, ratings, descriptions, and images, providing your readers with a structured and visually appealing review.
Inserting the Product Review Block
Open the article editor.
Click on the Review Product icon in the editor toolbar.
A pop-up window will appear with multiple fields to fill in.
Adding Product Information
In the pop-up, you can input the following details:
Product Name: Enter the name of the product being reviewed.
Product Score: Assign a score out of 5.
Product Description: Provide details about the product (optional).
Product Image: Click Add Image to open the media manager, where you can upload or select an image.
Price (Optional): Enter the product price.
Currency Selection: Choose from available currencies such as Euro (EUR), US Dollar (USD), or British Pound (GBP).
Adding Aspect Ratings
You can rate different aspects of the product:
Define the aspect (e.g., Durability, Design, Performance).
Assign a score out of 5.
Provide a short description of the rating.
To add more aspects, click the + icon next to the sub-rating title.
Adding Pros and Cons
You can list the positive and negative points of the product:
To add a positive point: Click Add or the + icon and enter the details.
To add a negative point: Click Add or the + icon and enter the details.
To remove any point: Click the Delete icon next to the item you wish to remove.
Saving and Displaying the Review
Once you have entered all the details:
Click Save to insert the Product Review block into your article.
The block will appear in your editor with the product name and review details.
When published, the review will be displayed in the article content on the front end.
This feature helps enhance articles by making product reviews structured and engaging, ensuring a better experience for readers.
Product Review Block or Review Article Type?
Newsifier offers two ways to publish a review. Which one to use depends on what you are reviewing:
Use the Product Review block for product reviews with a price, aspect ratings, and pros and cons, for example tech or affiliate content.
Use the Review article type for editorial reviews where the whole article is about one work, such as a film, series, book or game. For a complete guide, check out How to Create a Review Article in Newsifier.
Using the block inside a Review article? Your readers still see the Product Review block, but on articles with the type set to Review, the block's own structured data is switched off. Only the rating from Review details is sent to Google, so Google never sees two different reviews on the same page. This means the block's score won't show up in Google search results for that article.
