How do I use the layout blocks?

Learn how to build professional newsletters using our grid system and flexible layout blocks. Optimize column counts, alignment, and spacing to ensure flawless, responsive rendering across all email clients and devices.

Our editor utilizes an advanced grid system that enables intuitive, visually precise, and error-free newsletter design.

Within this grid system, you define the foundational format of your mailing using layout blocks. A variety of pre-formatted templates with flexible column distributions are available, all of which can be customized and styled to suit your exact needs.

The Advantage of Layout Blocks

The columns within a single layout block are inherently linked. This ensures that your visual presentation remains perfectly aligned within its defined framework. This robust structural integrity effectively prevents layout distortion and rendering errors across various email clients (such as Outlook, Gmail, or Apple Mail).

Formatting and Customizing Layout Blocks

  1. Select a Block: Drag and drop your chosen pre-formatted layout block directly into your newsletter.

  2. Edit Grid Settings: Customize the column ratios and presentation using the following options:

  • Number of Columns: Select how many elements you want to link side-by-side (up to a maximum of 5 columns per block).

  • Column Distribution: Determine the width of individual columns. The system automatically adjusts and balances the column ratios, eliminating the need for manual pixel calculations. Use this feature to make a primary column wider, drawing immediate focus to key content.

  • Vertical Alignment: Define the vertical positioning of content within the columns. You can flexibly choose whether column contents align at the top, center, or bottom.

  • Inner Column Spacing (Padding): Adjust the distance between the column border and the actual content. Increasing this value keeps the overall column width intact while elegantly narrowing the content area.

Inserting and Finalizing Content

Once your layout structure is set, populate the columns using Content Blocks. Choose from a versatile selection of elements including text, images, social media buttons, and other widgets. Content automatically adapts to the column width, though individual height and width adjustments can still be fine-tuned.

Optimizing Desktop and Mobile Views

Our grid system allows you to optimize layouts independently for desktop screens and responsive mobile views:

  • Content added via layout blocks automatically adopts a consistent formatting, ensuring a polished and cohesive appearance.

  • This is especially beneficial for responsive rendering, as it guarantees that elements stack or align cleanly and accessibly on mobile devices.

With our new grid system, designing professional, render-safe newsletters has never been faster, easier, or more reliable.
