Do you need to compare media data in a broader context, analyze trends in detail, or create a clear presentation of results for management? The Dashboard module in NewtonOne is designed precisely for these purposes. Built by experienced media analysts, the Dashboard presents media monitoring data in a graphical and organized format.

Creating a new dashboard

To create a new dashboard, click the + New dashboard button in the Dashboard module. A wizard will open where you can choose between a Empty Dashboard or Duplicate existing dashboard you’ve previously created.

On the next page of the wizard, you can set the name of your dashboard or select a pre-designed template. These templates come with pre-selected charts (widgets) that best suit specific types of analysis. If you select a template, you can modify its settings at any time later. At this stage, you can also set the visibility of the dashboard, which can be adjusted later as needed.

Working with the Dashboard

Adding Widgets (Charts)

After opening your newly created Dashboard, you’ll see a canvas with charts or widgets if you selected a pre-designed template. To add more charts, click the + New Widget button in the top-right corner of the Dashboard. A list of available charts will appear. Select the desired widget by clicking Add, then save your choices by clicking Save.

You can rearrange and resize widgets individually in your Dashboards to make them more organized. This customization also prepares the Dashboard for exporting PR reports.

Data and filtering in the Dashboard

The content of the Dashboard is controlled by the search field and selected filters, including the time period. As in the search function, you can choose to view the entire monitoring scope, specific topics (from the left menu), or individual keywords.

Working with individual widgets (Charts)

Each widget includes individual options in its top-right corner:

  • Export widget: Save the chart in various formats (PNG, JPG, SVG, XLSX).

  • Individual filter: Use this if you want a specific filter for the widget without overwriting it with global search filters. Click to select a filter for this widget.

  • Change chart type: Some widgets allow you to switch to a different type of chart.

  • Hide values in graph

  • Edit widget: Change the name of the widget.

  • Transfer to: Move the widget to another tab.

  • Delete widget: Remove the widget from your Dashboard.

Chart tabs

If you have too many charts, it can be helpful to divide them into separate tabs. You can name these tabs and move charts between them.

Sharing the Dashboard

You can share a prepared dashboard online. Simply copy the link and share it as needed.

Exporting the Dashboard

Using the Export button in the top-right corner, you can export the entire dashboard. Several formats are available (PPTX, PDF). The most commonly used template is the PR Report, which displays all charts in a well-organized PDF document
