We’re all different, with unique needs. That’s why NewtonOne is designed to adapt to each user individually. Customize the interface to ensure it meets your preferences.

You can find Account Settings in the menu under your user initials (top right corner).

Personal Information

Edit your name, update your email or phone number, set the export language, or change your password.

Users

If you are a Power User, you can easily add new users here, or edit and delete existing ones.

Invite your colleagues to the NewtonOne application. Click Add User, fill in the required details, select a user role, and send the invitation using Invite User.

An invitation will be sent to the provided email address, directing the new user to set their password.

In the next step, they can log in to the application using their registered email address and the newly created password.

Application Settings

By changing the export language, you define the localization of your exports and newsmails. This does not affect the translation of message content (translations are configured directly in the export templates).

The default entry point ensures that the application opens by default in the selected module.

Sources

Edit your configured source lists (TOP Sources, Source Lists, Excluded Sources). In the NewtonOne application, you can create your own custom source lists.

TOP sources - Add a source to your Top Sources in the article detail, the Sources tab, or Mediabase. This list is available to all users in your project. Any changes to this list will apply to all users. You can use this list to filter your search results.

Sources list - Create source lists in the Sources tab or Mediabase.

  • Private Lists – These lists and any changes to them are visible only to you.

  • Public Lists – These lists and their changes are visible to all users in your project (e.g., colleagues).

Rejected Sources - Add a source to the Rejected Sources list via the article detail by selecting Reject Source or directly in this section. A source on the rejected list is blocked for the entire project (it is not visible to any users, and searching within it will yield zero results). You can remove rejected sources from the list in this section.

Default Filters

What should the default filter settings be in the NewtonOne Overview? Here, you can adjust the default settings for media types, duplicates, date ranges, and tags.

Tags Settings

The default setting Respect Date Filter allows you to control tags using all search filter options. For faster searches, we recommend using this option.

On the other hand, the option Display All Articles disregards the set time filter for searches. It will always search across all articles within the tag. While this option can be useful, please note that it may result in slower loading times for articles from tags.
