When you select at least one article from the results list, a toolbar for bulk operations will appear. Changes made using this toolbar will apply to the selected articles (indicated by a checked checkbox next to the article).

Types of bulk actions

The following attributes can be changed (added or removed) in bulk:

Important – This flag applies to the article and will be visible to all users in your project.

Sentiment – Sentiment is automatically assigned to articles but can be modified either individually or in bulk. This update is article-specific and will be reflected for all users in your project.

Add/Remove Tags – Choose which articles to tag or untag. Public tags apply to the entire project (visible to all users), while private tags are visible only to the user who added them.

Mark Articles as Read/Unread – Articles are also marked as "read" when a flag is added (e.g., a tag, importance, sentiment). The read/unread status is user-specific, meaning other users in the same project will see the articles as unread until they view them.

Delete Article – Deleting an article anywhere in NewtonOne (using the trash icon) will remove it from all monitoring topics but not from the archive. This deletion affects the entire project.

Export

The selection of articles also affects exporting. Exporting is available even if no articles are selected—in that case, all articles in the results list will be exported. If you want to export only specific articles, you must select them using the checkbox in the results list.

The export button will display the current number of selected articles, indicating how many will be exported.
