Your legal practice is built on relationships and you must try to maintain and nurture these relationships to turn them into actual business. But as busy professionals, we sometimes don’t realise how quickly time flies and how quickly we can lose touch with important business relationships.

Nexl can help you stay in touch with your most important relationships. As we all know, it's not the reaching out to someone that is challenging—it's remembering to do it!

There are a number of types of relationships you might like to stay in touch with:

  • Current and past clients: Those are your contacts you are currently working with or have worked with in the past.

  • Referral sources: Those contacts provide you with client referrals. They can be other professionals and lawyers form non-competing or international law firms.

  • Prospective clients: Your list of prospective clients you are not working with yet but are actively trying to win as clients.

  • Influencers: Those are influencers in their market with large networks. It is extremely important to keep in touch with your influencers and use them to reach your prospective clients.

Actions using Nexl:

  • Log into Nexl and search for important relationships you know you need to stay in touch with.

  • Click on the contact and set a “Stay in touch” reminder by selecting the appropriate time from the drop down.

Now, you don’t have to worry about losing touch ever again! Nexl will

automatically remind you when it is time to reach out to your important relationships.

Actions using the Outlook add-in:

You can also use the Outlook add-in to set stay in touch reminders for your important

relationships.

  • Search for an email with one of your important contacts and open the email.

  • Open the Nexl add-in, which you can find in your Outlook ribbon. You can see your contact’s Nexl profile and are able to set the appropriate stay in touch reminder from there.
