So we're very excited to announce that Nexl can now be integrated with Mailchimp to help create more effective marketing campaigns to get your content to the right audience.

Easier segmenting for better targeted Marketing campaigns

Especially for larger, multi-practice and multi-office firms, it is important to use e-mail marketing correctly and ensure you are able to deliver the right content to the right people. When you continue to send all of your content to all of your contacts, the relevance of your campaigns, and the engagement metrics will suffer.

Successful marketing campaigns are designed with a specific audience in mind, and it is key to segment your contact list accordingly. If you are organizing an event on recent changes to the Tax code, for instance, you will want to segment based on the job title, or legal area of interest of your overall contact list. Similarly, marketers typically segment on the basis of location, language, or industry sector, depending on the objectives and audience for your campaign.

How can I integrate my Mailchimp with Nexl?

Nexl's integration is easily done. All you need to do is send us your Mailchimp API key, and we will do the integration for you. Where to find your Mailchimp API key is explained on Mailchimp's website or in this quick video.

Once Nexl has integrated with your Mailchimp, you will be able to sync a contact list from within Nexl's Marketing List manager, to your 'audience' in Mailchimp.

Create your list in Nexl first

You probably already know how to create a list in Nexl; if you need a refresher on how to do this, please consult this article.

When creating a list to be synced with Mailchimp, please bear in mind you'll need to create a static list. Dynamic lists cannot be integrated for the time being.

Sync your list with Mailchimp

Once you have saved a (static) list in Nexl's Marketing List manager, you can sync it to your Mailchimp account by clicking on the "Sync with Mailchimp" button.

When you are syncing to Mailchimp, you will have to indicate to which audience Nexl will be syncing - typically, law firms will have only one audience, which you can select from the drop-down menu.

Once you have selected your audience, Nexl will create a specific segment within that audience in your Mailchimp account, and label it after the name of the list you have just created.

See your List as a segment in Mailchimp

To see the effect of your sync in Mailchimp, just open you Mailchimp account, click on the "Audience" icon (second icon in left-hand column), select the audience you have chosen in Nexl and then go to "segments".

There you will now see the segment created by the syncing of your Nexl mailing list.

You are now all set up to start sending better segmented campaign, leveraging the power of your #1 no-data-entry CRM system!
